Don’t Wait to Book These 3 Vendors First

No doubt you’re interested in working with the best wedding vendors. The probelm is, everyone else is too. In fact, the most sought out vendors book 18 months in advance minimum. And with Brides from 2020 having to reschedule because of the COVID pandemic, it’s possible they’re booked further out!

So, what vendors should you book first and in which order?

  1. Venue- Why book your venue first? Because they’re typically the ones that book the furthest out, especially for key dates around the holidays or dates with numeric significance if numerology is your thing.
  2. Photographer- You only have one chance to capture your memorable moments from your wedding and connecting with a photographer that completely understands your vision is key! Find one that matches your style and book them now. Chances are if you’re impressed with them, other couples are too! Don’t let them steal your date!
  3. Officiant- If you want to work with a professional Officiant that offers a ceremony experience and not just the same-old I Do’s, you better lock in your date now. I can’t tell you how many couples I’ve had to turn away that were looking to book last-minute. Many of us book at least 12 to 18 months in advance.

Don’t be Bullied

Now that you’re engaged, you’ll find everyone you know will have a definite opinion on everything when it comes to your wedding so make sure you’re prepared. They really do mean well and may even have a few good ideas, but, make sure after hearing them out you don’t settle for their vision of your wedding day. Remember, you’re creating your memories.

Don’t Forget to Take a Break

Planning a wedding can be overwhelming to say the least, but it’s meant to be FUN! If you get to the point when planning begins to suck all the fun out of it, you’re overdue for a break. Take a walk, call a friend, binge on Netflix. Sometimes walking away can inspire you so you return to the drawing board fresh!

Now that we’ve got what and what not to do out of the way, it’s time to get planning!

And if you’re looking for a Photographer passionate about giving you a fun, one-of-a-kind memories you and your guests won’t stop talking about, I’d love to connect! Click here to check availability for 2021!
